Newton Was Not Wrong
Einstein did not discard Newton. He showed where Newton's equations are an extraordinarily accurate approximation — and where they quietly stop being one.
Established ScienceWhat we actually know
Newton's laws still guide aircraft, bridges, artillery and spacecraft. Apollo flew on Newtonian trajectories. Relativity reduces to Newtonian mechanics whenever gravity is weak and speeds are far below light. The corrections only become practically important in extreme cases — and in a few ordinary-looking ones, such as GPS satellites, whose clocks must be corrected for both special and general relativistic effects or navigation drifts kilometres per day.
Where the extrapolation begins
So the pattern of scientific revolution is usually containment, not demolition. The older theory becomes a limiting case. That gives a reasonable expectation about whatever replaces our current physics: it will probably contain relativity and the Standard Model the way relativity contains Newton.
What the novel invents
The novel takes that expectation seriously. Nothing the Servator does makes human physics wrong. It makes human physics small.
